This Sunday will be all about joy! The scripture readings call us to rejoice. The Advent Candle will be the pink one that symbolizes joy. This Sunday will be a time to celebrate the joy of God’s love as he shows it to us again and again. We will also celebrate joy on Sunday evening, when we gather to take part in the children’s Christmas program. We will see joyin the eyes of all of the children as they take part in the program. We will see joy and pride in the eyes of the parents and grandparents as their children are perfect in their parts– even if they aren’t. We will see joy and pride in Alicia’s and Alice’s eyes through the whole thing.

This is a time to celebrate the joy of God’s love as we look at the gift that God has given us in his Son. God loved the world so much he gave his only son so that whoever believes in him will not die but have everlasting life. What a love God has! What a God we serve! Celebrate the joy!
