As almost everybody in the York area knows, this is Summerfest Weekend. In addition to the marvelous breakfast served at Trinity by the Bible Study Class from 7-9 AM and the mission booths that will be located in the parking lot on the Liberty Street side, there are a few other things taking place up and down Liberty and Congress Streets. In fact, there are more things than I can name–even if I am a little more focused on the ministries and opportunities that we will be offering at Trinity. One of the joys of being able to write a blog like this is the ability to hear from members of the congregation and others who read the blog and respond. One of the concerns that I have when it comes to being able to write a blog like this is that our website receives more “spam” comments than real ones. On one recent morning I opened my e-mail and was informed that I had over twenty comments waiting moderation so that they could be posted on the site. Not one of them was a comment on a blog, or on the newsletter, or anything else. They were linked to a blog or newsletter, but they were either ads or computer generated stuff that made very little sense. (more…)
